  First violin lessons at the age of ten
1977 - 1981 Student at the Mittenwald School of Violin Making
1981 - 1985 Assistant in the workshop of Hubert Schnorr in Hamburg
1986 Examination as master craftsman, since then I have my own workshop and work independently
1997 First Place for Viola Sound Quality, International Competition for Violin Making in Mittenwald
2001 Prize Winner for Violin and Viola, International Violin Making Competition, ‚,Jacobus Stainer'' in Hinterzarten. This is the first and only competition for violin making that exclusively assesses the sound quality of instruments.
2001 National recognition of my work as an artistic occupation in the field of music
2001 Discovery of acupuncture as a means of influencing the sound of an instrument
2003 Relocation from Hamburg to Münstertal (Black Forest)
